Megaman Soft Keychain ロックマンソフトキーホルダー

The name attached to this line is "soft keyholder", and while it is hollow, thus meeting the standard for sofubi (in Japanese, short for, "soft vinyl") toys, I think that it might be made of a harder plastic than PVC figures are.

MEGAMAN -dot.Strap Collection- Vol.3 ロックマン -ドット・ストラップ-コレクション Vol.3

Type: Rubber keychain/strap. This time around it's the Megaman 2 baddies, but the set is Volume 3. Go fig.

Bummer: Didn't get Crashman in the initial box, but bought him later at auction.

Secret: This set only has one, Wily in "alien" form. Could only find one page that had a photo of it. None at auction over a period of 2 months. Must be super secret.

Verdict: They're characters from Megaman 2, arguably the best original Megaman game. Primary colors, made of thick, sleek material. 8-bit glory in your face.

ROCKMAN -dot.Strap Collection- Vol.1 ロックマン -ドット・ストラップ-コレクション

I was amazed by how big & vibrant these ended up being. They're made of thick rubber, and their colors really pop, especially for only using 8 colors across the whole set. There are only 8 straps in each box, but 9 in the set (7 + 2 secret), so it's impossible to get the whole set in one box. However, I'm glad that I got the secret that I did - the 1up and the E-Tank - because the other one is an 8-bit rendition of Bass/Forte, which, mreh. (I peeked on Yahoo Japan Auctions to see what it was, and of course several were up for sale/bid) I really can't wait for the next set, the robot masters from the first game are the stars.

Megaman.EXE Mini Gashapon Machines ロックマンエグゼ・ミニガチャ

Got my mitts on a set of 3 (of 4, but I just won the 4th on YHJA) Rockman.EXE Mini Gashapon machines by Yujin. These are from 2004, but somehow Mugen Toys still had em in stock. I got Blues, Bass & Searchman, and the cool thing is that the Bass & Searchman versions light up when you turn the little crank on the front! They have multicolored LEDs that flash alternating colors when activated. I won the remaining one I need, the blue Rockman version, and that is also a light-up version. These ironically came in Gashapon capsules, and you had a chance of getting either a light-up or non light-up version at random when you plunked your 200 yen into the slot on the real machine. Each machine comes with a set of tiny capsules to put in the machine and even tinier toys to stick in the capsules, that are molded in the shape of the enemies in the Rockman.EXE games. Ah, I love Japan so, so much. ^^

Kotobukiya 1/10 Scale Rockman/Megaman Model Kit

Rockman has joints like a cross between a Revoltech figure & a Gundam plamo

Also, I buy lots of Capcom stuff. (These are the "official Capcom" stickers that come on most/all Capcom products. They all sport the Blue Bomber's head, and some of these are from as early as 1996 when I went to Japan)

Loot Post

Just mainly putting pics up here for now, may edit things later with a writeup. But let's be honest, everyone loves looking at the pretty pictures, right? =P The items are an E-Tank Pillow from Megaman (Official Capcom swag ftw!), Kurogane no Linebarrels One Coin figures, both sets of One Piece Chara Fortune released so far and the Kerokoma Island 2 figures I was missing from my set, including samurai Dororo & Angol Mois. ^^
napaJapan - candy, bento and more!
